One thing, then another,
Dragging on my heart,
Removing any energy,
To continue, or to start.
Wanting just to hide,
To briefly walk away.
Knowing that’s not possible.
Life will have its way.
Sitting. Taking a deep breath.
Wanting my feet to dig deep.
Giving me the strength to keep on standing.
I have a heart to keep.
