Life keeps teaching lessons.
Today’s was loud and clear.
You may rely on someone once,
And you may hold them dear,
But there’s no guarantee for tomorrow,
They may walk a different road.
This reality may wind you,
And the sense of loneliness goad,
But you always have your self,
And others may lend a hand.
You have to make your own way,
Even if they help you stand.
